What is Hard Chrome Plating?
Electro Plating is a chemical process which offers a finish that is only a few thousandths of a millimeter thick. Hard chrome plating is applied with thicknesses of between 5 and 500 µm, depending on the mechanical stress and chemical corrosion to which the plated workpiece is likely to be exposed.
Hard-chrome plated surfaces are utilized in a wide range of applications that include heavy machineries and equipment. They are preferred by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and play a vital role in various sectors such as PVC manufacturing, earth movers, power generation, transportation and even food & beverage packaging. We can regulate the hardness of our chrome plating according to your requirement, usually within a range of 55 – 60 RC. Here we practice the ‘Low Voltage High Ampere’ technique to deliver a high quality finish while keeping the voltage variation between 5 to 12 HV. In our 3 decades of experience, we have managed to work with some of the most prominent players in the heavy machinery manufacturing sector.

About Us
Since the inauguration of our business in 1992, India Development Company has been offering hard chromium plating and grinding services to more than 35 clients across the country that are related to this sector.
Electroplating is the process that uses electric currents to adhere a thin metal coating to an object by immersing the object in an electrically charged solvent containing the plating metal. Here in IDC, we offer Hard-Chromium Plating to clients. We also engage in the manufacturing of Piston Rod and Piston Tube/Cylinder. Our plating service include both new coats and repairs. Our products & services are used in a wide range of industries such as automotive, heavy machinery, construction, power generation and many more.
Our 800 sq/ft workshop is located on the Belighate region of Kolkata. We have our own highly advanced and well equipped infrastructure in our unit. Our manufacturing unit is full of all the required equipment and machinery. With our current capacity and workforce, we are capable of performing electroplating on more than 50 products a month. Our workforce consist of professionals with previous experience and knowledge.
Rates are negotiated with the clients, before the order is made. Other factors such as date of delivery, technical quotations, process techniques etc., are also discussed. We are able to deliver the products on time and there has been no incident till date, where any one was displeased with our work.
People working in electroplating sector faces risk from hazardous chemicals, metals, wet-work, electric currents, etc. Our workers are provided with acid-proof clothing’s and are always required to maintain proper gear inside the workshop which include hand-gloves, protective boots and helmet. They are encouraged to take responsible care of their own health & safety and comply with instructions for safe practice in and around the work place.
We make sure that all our equipment and machineries along with our solutions are checked and maintained regularly. Having spent more than 2 decades in this line, there been any incident when our clients had been unhappy with our work.
We have order a 4000 ampere rectifier and we expect to put it in use from the first quarter of 2019.
